nokia 3310. predictive typing

how do i turn off the predictive typing on the Nokia 3310

i held in the bottom right button however that just turns it onto number mode

options, dictionary off should do it

edit: you dont hold the button, you press it until the abc in the top left hand corner no longer has a line in it
