Nokia 6280 on 3 off Ebay - Urgent!!

Im after one of these handsets but most of them on Ebay are on the 3 network - will I be able to unlock them and use my Orange Sim Card in it or will it not work with it being a 3 handset?

Won't work as it's a BB5 handset

You need to phone the network operator (in this case 3) and ask them to unlock it. Unfortunately only the original owner can do this - despite you having bought the phone, you will never be classified as the owner. You could ask the seller to do this for you, and pay him the £15 it costs on 3.

Some people have managed to do it though. I just bought a N70 (on eBay) locked to 3 (but thats because I plan to use it with my 3 sim), so I may try and get it unlocked at some point...
