Hi folks

I've just got my iPhone 16Gig and unlocked/jailbraked it thanks to the excellent information that I found in this section, what I need to know is there a way to copy all my contacts for my old Nokia 6110 to the iPhone without having to manually type them all in.

thanks

doggo

i tried loads of ways. i thought syncing the nokia with nokia pc suit, itself synced with windows mail contacts, then syncing the iphone with itunes and updating using the contacts from windows mail.......might have worked. but i couldnt get NPCS to see my phone:rolleyes:

so in the end i just copied all my contacts to the sim and did it that way.

that was my fear that I would have to do it the long way by hand :(

well, you wont have to if you copy the numbers to the simcard first lol

you'll get all your numbers. some of the names will be truncated because of the maximum name length on a sim card, but thats easier to sort out than putting the whole lot on by hand. however, note you must use additional software like SIMport on the iphone (which you can only run if you have jailbroken your iphone) to copy the numbers from the sim card because...suprise....like a lot of things, being able to read from the sim card isnt something apple thought we needed, and so didnt bother writing it in to the software:rolleyes:
