Hi all,
I think my N70 is great but unfortunately I've been having problems with it.
Firstly, it's absolutely DOG slow. Press contacts and its often up to 6-7 seconds before they actually load. Same with messages and even the menu. I get the impression that ridiculous hard coded Orange menu is holding things up. It also doesn't actually say 'Battery low' when the battery is low - the display simply lights up as it would do if it did have a low battery warning...
But perhaps more important, it keeps powering down. This is very annoying, I'll reach into my pocket and it will be turned off.
It's about 5 months old, so I rang Orange, who were literally about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. I was told that my issues were not 'service affecting' and as such, were not covered by the phones warranty. I did point out that a phone that turned itself off was rather service affecting, but this fell on deaf ears.
What can I do about this? I rang Nokia who said sure, send it to us, but the turnaround is 4 weeks. Hmmm, no phone for 4 weeks. Would a simple software update suffice? Why are Orange being so obstructive?
