Nokia N70 - Slow or what?

Had this phone for a couple of months now - it replaced a Samsung D500.

Does anyone else find this phone frustratingly slow? - both in booting up, but more infuriatingly, in general operation.

Can't wait for my next upgrade to come, and it won't be a Nokia.

Yeah, they are known for it, lets hope the N80 isnt as bad.

You obviously havent read my opinions on the N80 then have you??:p. The N80 is just as terrible and slow as the N70 imho, great features but awful implementation of them.
Im still at a loss why people are buying it though, its a brick of a phone and is quite buggy to say the least.

Maybe you just got a defective unit? Everyone I know who has bought one has been really pleased with it.

Well funnily enough the place i got it from, i sent it back last week and they tested it...saying theres nothing wrong with it :\ so i guess it wasnt defective according to them....hmmm oh well

Do Nokia release firmware upgrades to improve the performance of their phones, or do they leave owners dangling?

I find it hard to believe that they were happy to release the N70, in the knowledge that it's so frustrating to use.

I havn't owned a Nokia for quite sometime before this (last one being a 3310  ), and my theory that Nokia made decent handsets from a users point of view, has been shattered. :(
