While im waiting for the new set of Android mobiles to come out, after selling the Galaxy S, I've been offered a Nokia N8 brand new unopened box for £150, basically it an unwanted xmas present from my sister in law as she has an iphone.

I know the snapper on the N8 is very good, also the HD Vid, but what the mobile like for general use?, is it anygood and does it suffer from the same problems that plauged the N97?.

Reason im thinking about buying it because i can't stand this Samsung C3050 tinny sound when receiving calls.

I've got the N8 sat here still unopened, just trying to decide if it worth buying or not, as i darn't buy it then sell it on for a profit because she kill me lol :P

I know but don't have the Galaxy S anymore, as the money from that been put to one side for the new set of android smartphones out this year.

I could basically buy it for £150 then sell it at a later date, as it sim free.

For £150 just get it, use it for a month or so and get your money back.

That what i was thinking, I proberly would get my money back on it, or not far off when it comes to getting rid of it.

Tbh the camera & Vid will proberly come in handy, while the HD vid on the Galaxy S was great the snapper wasn't, so having a decent camera in the pocket will no doudt come in handy hmmm.

Regardless of the decent camera, the software on the N8 is absolutely dreadful.

I tried to look past it but you simply cant, its terrible.

Its possibly worth a look for £150 as you wont lose any money, but its not good.

My work phone is currently an N8.

The on-screen keyboard and web-browser are both poor by today's standards but the rest of the software isn't as bad as most people make out. And I really appreciate the great reception and battery life at times.
