I have just been to the cinema and decided to turn off my mobile. I have now got back and tried to turn it back on, all I get is a White screen and Nokia in blue writing and then a black screen, and it flashes bewteen the two.

Any idea's as this is right out of the blue :(

try taking the battery and sim card out for at least half an hour then replace and try turning it on

Not a clue sorry but I had a similar problem with my old nokia 6630 and this seemed to sort it

Sounds like a loose connection on your screen, take it to a nokia repair centre, explain that it hadnt been knocked about at all. It will be covered under warranty, just had basically the same thing happen to me.
(Lots of artifcating, screen image upsidedown, and now just static)
But mine was in my pocket at a concert and I think thats what did it, but hey...it shoulda been able to take that.

Theres not much more you can do really :S

Cheers for the replies.

I sent it off today from the Vodafone shop, all covered under the warranty. Just gonna be a week next Tuesday before I get it back. :(

Good job I just updated my contacts on the Sim card the other week

I had the exact same problem mate, i took it back to T-Mob and they told me to use the nokia update manager program to update the firmware, I was having the same problem as you for weeks and weeks but just got used to it, I have done the update and it seems to have improved the problem quite a lot but I still get it from time to time.

A little trick, hold the menu button for a few seconds until you see the list of running apps come up, if you have more than standby then select the others and press C, this will close runnings apps in the background that could be causing your phone to crash. Hope its of some help.

Cheers for that, will take a look at this, when I get my phone back. :)

I had a problem where if I was on the net and got a text message / call it would crash the phone to Nokia splash screen and they swapped it for a new one. Unfortunately the replacement has just started doing the same thing... anyone had that bug as well?

It varies for me, sometimes it will work absolutely great, then others all I have to do is open the slider and it will mess up.

I recommend getting the nokia software updater from the nokia site, its dead simple and a 5 min job to check you have the latest firmware on your mobile. Its basically all they will do if you send it off.

I think its just something im going to have to get used to with mine, i pay an extra £7.50 p/m for unlimited web n walk on t-mobile, seeing as the phone cant even handle it im going to cancel that option.
