I fitted a Safecom USB 2.0 Bluetooth adapter which installed fine. I can transfer files using the supplied software without any problems. However when it comes to installing nokia pc suite to sync my outlook contacts with my phone, it just won't work.

The best nokia PC suite can do is tell me "PC Sync has encountered a problem and has terminated the synchronisation." Very useful  I can see it connect to the phone (Nokia 6230) but it instantly cancels and gives me the above error message.

None of the other features of Nokia PC Suite work either, and their error messages are even more vague  ("Operation could not be completed")

Does anyone have any suggestions? :)

I tried Oxygen 2 aswell, but that couldn't connect either.

Never managed to get the Nokia PC suite to work with my bluetooth dongle , I ended up getting a cheap USB cable from the local market :(

Bluetooth has always been useless whenever I've tried to use it :( Might just have to get a USB cable then.

Get the Widcomm drivers installed instead of the standard M$ and you'll probably find it runs much better :)

I used to have trouble with Windows 2000, but all seems very well under Windows XP with SP2 installed. My phone comes within Bluetooth range and the phone starts to sync automatically.

A USB cable is always going to be more reliable though.

I have got the Widcomm drivers installed but it still gives me jip. I also tried the standard microsoft SP2 ones which did even less than the Widcomm drivers!

I'll give the USB cable a go then :)
