Imo, cmndr_andi is a great choice, but unfortunately I haven't seen him around since spring.
Another vote for Castiel. He's intelligent, calm and isn't egocentric. Honestly, the boards are well endowed when it comes to decent members.

Duke although he doesn't bask in the glow of GD popularity he would do a great level headed job and already contributes lots of time to the forum rather than trying to force his wisdom on everyone in each and every GD thread.

To be fair, the most post happy members tend to be ones on the forum more often, meaning they're likely browsing to report posts. Guess they need some kind of maturity and ability to set an example. Oh and of course the ability not to be troll baited.
Without being able to see percentages of valid reported threads we don't really have huge amounts of statistics to go on
