There are plenty of "popular" members who wouldn't be let near the role of UB. It is, however, useful to have a pool of names offered by the community to work with.

Surely the mod team are active enough to think about good people for the role.
The majority of reasons for suggestions in this thread aren't event matching the needs or requirements of a UB

There a a few people I didn't think of until someone else said it. I'm sure the Dons are in a similar position. Not all the find are active in all the forums so it's easy to miss good candidates.

Likewise, there have been a few names mentioned who I didn't think of at first, but reckon would be great. Equally there have been names mentioned that I have shuddered at the thought
