Got a letter today from a company called nominet about my domain name registration which i find odd as i'm with go daddy

Nominet is the governing body for all .uk registrations - these are the people to whom Godaddy send the registration request

Nominet send these letters to all registrants

You'll get a certificate too

(once you've done all their registration stuff).

I got a letter off them today.. Even though I registered my domain in July :confused:

The OP also registered his domain name in July.

Probably just a delay in your registrar handing the appropriate details over to Nominet, or just Nominet getting the letters sent out. Who knows, perhaps its protocol to send out letters precisely three months after a customer registers a domain?

Yeah I got one a week or two ago, yet I renewed my domain back in August
