non advmethods gets better ppd / general low ppd wu's

Noticed that on the few of my machines that do not have the –advmethods flag are getting better ppd, so i switched all but the SMP's machines to having the switch off. Guess what all are getting better WU that have better ppd. it seems a lot of my machines were getting yukky WU's like the 2148/9's

Anyone else have this issue.. even before i had to stop folding last month i hadn't seen any juicy WU's on my non SMP machines.

All machines have 1-2gb, win xp. cpu's vary from 2.8 P4, X2 64, P4 650, P4D etc... strange only the Quads/C2D's seem to get anything decent.

Have they given up on AMD/non Core Duos?

odd - but it wouldn't be the first time. Getting an endless supply of the 206pts units here. Off to swap the flag on a machine.

Confirmed - just got a 2620 - ppd 2.5x better that a 3404 (8x the ram)

Edit: The office just got noisey - the 3404 never really pushed the P4's here it would seam - these 2620 sure are, fan speen just hit 100%

I noticed a few 500 and 755 pointers with quite good ppd are being dished out to my non C2D's with the flag set off.

So...... even though it's helping you guys stay clear of me but for team 10 I'd advise everyone tries switching advmethods off for a bit to see if that helps with the WU/points your getting. I have certainly noticed a big difference.

remember in client and on regedit if you have set both.

This doesn't affect SMP tho.
