Afternoon all. I put together a pc recently and it worked fine for a week. It was boxed up transported, reopened and now it won't boot.
Everything was new apart from the mainboard which was a year old. Specs are
Epox 9NDA3+ board, 3700+ CPU, 1Gb DDR Ram, 7600GT graphics card.

I've tried it with various PSU's as the sysmptoms pointed to insufficient power, the PSU, CPU and chipset fan would spin momentarily then stop. PSU would have to be unplugged before trying again.

Any ideas what to do?

Hi there, you say you transported it.. Is it not possible that something was dislodged.. Check that the CPU HSF is seated and connected correctly as with the memory and Graphics card.

Checls also that your Hard Disks and other power cables are connected correctly and secure.

When you say it won't boot.. Is it dead or does it get past the POST then fail?.. If so, at what point does it fail? Do you get any POST bleep codes?

As above really, just make sure you disconnect every component such as gfx and ram, cables etc and re-attach just to make sure, plenty times i've known bits to look connected but their not, but by re-connecting it at least rules it out, sata HD cables being a main culprit, then gfx. :)

EDIT: also how big is your heatsink? I have always been cautious about moving rigs with large heatsinks attached, purely due to there size and weight

The PC was built and installed on me desk. Everything was then taken apart, boxed and transported.

There is no POST at all. The only activity that shows some "life" is that the fans temporarily spin up then it seems the PSU cuts out. This happens with every PSU. If the board was toasted would this happen? The onboard de-bug LED's just flick on then off again.
