Are there any settings I can use to produce non clickable URLs on this forum?

If I type in a URL (without using URL tags), the message seems to be parsed and any URLs are wrapped in URL tags anyway.

I know that in the majority of cases, most URLs posted should be clickable, but if you want a URL to be non clickable, how can you do that without messing with the URL tags?

When editing a post, it seems that the url tags can't be removed completely. If you try and remove the url tags completely, they are just added again when saving the edit.

In the advanced reply page, there is a tick box for automaticaly parsing URLs. Simply untick that box.

You can also do it by unticking an option under the reply box..

Thanks for the info regarding the options guys, but not making a URL clickable would be an exception rather than the rule, so the noparse tags sounds like the best bet.

I know I was looking for options settings originally, but I wasn't aware of the tags available to disable parsing.

Thanks all :)
