I'm starting to worry about things going wrong when I modify my water loop and put some upgrades in and was wondering how many people use non-conductive coolant?
What are the better nc coolants out there? Are there any with a particularly good heat capacity?
Cheers

Close to no one. Fluorinert is non conductive, but feser one et al all become conductive with time.

If you spill deionised water, it probably doesn't matter. If you spill feser 1 you then have to wash it off with water (or ipa) to remove the dye.

Changing to things other than water is a very expensive way to achieve between negligably better and far worse temperatures.

Water & biocide is by far the most popular choice for good reason.

Also, what biocide do people tend to use. I've been told that some people use a Silver Kill Coil - is this enough or should I be adding anything else?

(I'm probably gonna add dye too, assuming this doesn't make too much difference to anything?)

I just run a silver coil, no amoebas so far!

When I was researching I thought silver and biocide would be best, but in the end only used the coil, biocide is sat in a box...
