Wondering if you guys have encountered/owned one, been looking at these cheaper (sub 30 pound) rotary tool kits, only need it to cut the odd case window ect (upcoming bitfenix prodigy mod), so would it do the job? or would i be better just buying a dremel 3000? cheers

I've seen a few around, have a dremel 300 series myself. the dremel version may seem expensive but it is downright amazing the things you can find to do with one. if you are dead set about getting something cheaper make sure you do plenty of reading about them, some seem to be better than others.

Silverline cutting disc's are good value and do the job, 35 piece I think for around £3, don't forget the safety specs.

Already got a million and one uses for it in my head (bullet holes in acrylic come to mind) and thanks hyperst! i was told that the fiberglass cutting discs are far superior to the stock dremel ones, i don't think OCUK sell dremels so i'll plonk this here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Blue-Spot-P...1365444050&sr=8-2&keywords=dremel+accessories thats the kit i've purchased to get me started hopefully the bits will get me through my first case mod

Question, are the fibreglass discs that come with most kits going to be able to actually do the cut? just tried with the ones that came with the dremel and they sort of just slooooowly ground away at the material before going through (tried it on my old case) but im not sure if its because of the material? trying it on an ooooooooold beige pc. would a set of http://www.diy.com/nav/fix/power-to...-Metal-Cutting-Wheels-12758674?skuId=13269380 get me going? cheers
