Hi all, first post here.
Currently running a i5-6600 non k, just upgraded to an RTX2060 and whilst im waiting for a CPU upgrade Ive been thinking about overclocking the i5 to get the most out of the system.
Ive seen people get 4.4-4.6 GHz stable with a basic 212 cooler.
Its a non k so ill have to flash my BOIS to an older varient using FTP with a risk of overwriting my MAC address which ill have to change back using HEX edit. Ive never done that before (hex editing).
My question is, would it even be worth it and has anyone done this exact process before?
Another option is swap the i5 for the K varient as they both sell for around the same price if its a no-go.
Thanks in advance for any pointers.
