Hi all,

I've not done any programming for about 10 years (dabbled with C, Pascal, Java etc) and that was very rudimentary.

If I wanted to learn how to develop iPhone/iPad apps from scratch, what would be the best way of starting out?

Got a mac? Great.

1. Sign up for a free developer account here: http://developer.apple.com/

2. Download Xcode and the iPhone SDK's (For the time being you want Xcode 3.x).

3. Read*, watch, Program.

*(There are hundreds of more useful sites. I could also recommend a few books which would take you through the whole process or cover major topics etc.. I'd start with the stanford videos first, though.)
