Our decking is getting old and beginning to decay from lack of care I suspect. However it is also very slippery at the slightest sign of damp. It has been cleaned properly but still gets slippery.

Does anyone know of a replacement?

I've seen non slip decking boards at some ridiculous prices but maybe there's another sort of surface I could use. The majority of the decking covers up concrete slabs so I have a fairly plain base to work with.

I had a raised deck and ramp built last year out of Duofuse Composite Decking and it's been great. I was wanting something that was low maintenance as I don't want to have it sanded and re-seal it. I'm a wheelchair user I was also wanting something non-slip, however the options available weren't that great in my view.

The Duofuse boards don't have a extra grip strip but so far they haven't given me any bother when using my chair on it either in the dry or wet.

Here's the Duofuse website: http://www.duofuse.com/en/

I used Millboard to do my decking. Resists algae growth, is thermally stable and UV resistant. DOes not warp or twist and has a 25 year guarentee on it.

Is not exactly the cheapest option, but I thought if is going to be down for 25 years and I dont have to scrub it every spring and go A O T when walking on it in the winter, that has to be worth it
