Well i'm 34 i have had iphones, galaxy s 2,blackberrys and im on a moto g at the moment. They are all great phones but over the past few days i noticed all i do is text or make calls. Hardly use apps, i'm not on facebook or twitter so i decide to go low tech and find a nice decent bog standard that will last over a week on one charge.

I don't have an expensive phone, but it is a smartphone, but use it on ovivo because i'm not a big user of a mobile phone.

I also have one of these:
samsung-e1170-1.jpg

Lasts over a month with minimal use! Amazing, but there is nothing on it to flatten the battery!

I bought a cheap phone to keep in the car for emergencies and overlooked one thing.

Every phone I use now uses micro usb as a charger, but the small Samsung phone I bought doesn't.

It's not a deal breaker it just makes life easier.

In 2010, my dad asked me to sell his phone on his behalf that he had as a spare (same as pictured above), and list it as brand new. Had the box, charger etc. Although it only went for £9.50 in the end, the buyer slapped me with a neutral saying that the phone had been "registered" and therefore, really used. So yeah, although it looked a pretty decent small feature/cameraphone, I don't exactly have fond memories of it lol. Think the full model name was Samsung GT-E1170.

If you can find a non smartphone Nokia then that'd be a good buy. Those things go on forever without charging and usually have excellent signal reception too.
