Non Steam games in libary

When i add a non steam game to my libary next time i log onto my pc they have all been removed and i have to add them again ?

Any help please guys

Try quitting Steam properly through the menu rather than just shutting down the computer.

I've found Steam can be a bit funny with saving settings when it's closed as part of a forced shutdown.

Do what orderoftheflame said, and then make a backup of Steam\userdata\10316222\config\shortcuts.vdf

My shortcuts dissapear once every few weeks for some reason, so I have to keep replacing the shortcuts file with the backup to get them back.

Also sometimes if it's a game which updates itself Steam will lose the link, happened a couple of times with "mighty quest for epic loot" for me

The issues been around since custom shortcuts were integrated into Steam, plenty of fixes on Google.

I have this same issue and gave up using it.
orderoftheflame's workaround does work, but it was a hassle to keep remembering to do it.

Haha, dunno how mate this'll happen to anyone at certain points and almost always on forced shutdown.

LOL I never shut down steam before a reboot I let windows do it for me

But yeah I have never lost my non steam games or the Category I set for them
