Hi folks

I'm.very new to PC gaming. In fact I stopped using PCs at all when VISTA came out. So this is all new to me.

I saved my newly built budget rig in my about me bio.

The system although budget seems to be under performing with lesser systems getting better benchmark scores. I found this link where this chap seems to be betting better benchmarks and FPS on a lesser CPU with similar GPU.

content://com.sec.android.app.sbrowser/readinglist/0214142345.mhtml

I am getting around 60fps on high settings on Shadow of war but quite low overall benchmark scores in the 3000s when this guy is achieving scores much higher than that.

All system checks show I've installed everything ok and RAM etc being detected. A memory check showed no errors.

Have I maybe put something together incorrectly or am I getting the results youd expect from such a budget build?

Anyone running similar that can suggest stable changes to run on the CPU AND GPU/Ram.

Thanks

Scott

Hi

Thanks for your response.

I I noticed this and enabled xmp in bios but I then started getting BSOD when launching games.

Error "IRQ not less or equal"

I had only just installed the second RAM stick the day before as I started with one 16gb stick forgetting dual channel was favorable, so worried it was that, but memory check said all was ok. Switching off XMP seemed to resolve programme launch error.

So more confused than ever.

Thanks

Hi there

I so get that and to be honest if I wanted an amazing rig I'd have paid for one but I built this knowing full well what I was getting as made a number of compromises but know deep down I should have went for a better GPU and spent less on the monitor and keyboard etc. But hey ho.

I'm not obsessing really, but I do want to get the best experience possible. I have the same game on xbox and have the 4k hdr tv, so want to make sure I enjoy gaming as much as possible with best settings possible so I know I have given casual PC gaming a fair crack of the whip.

Thanks again for your reply. Really appreciate it.
