I have an AMDII 250 CPU and want to overclock it. What is the simplest changes to do in the bios to do this? I have read the Sticky but i am out of my depth!! lol

Cheers

your only option with that chip is raising the fsb (default setting is 200MHz) raise it to something like 205MHz and then satrt watching your temps using apps like coretemp ect and start testing to stability using programs like OCCT 3 and if it crashes or instability start raising the core voltage a little

here's a few links that might be useful
OCCT 3.0
Core Temp

anyway hope it helps, and i think the max temp for most amd cpu's is 62'c so make sure you keep it under that, what cooler are you using and what case do you have as airflow is important when overclocking?

First of all ignore the comment from phill0i above mine... these are good chips and with the right motherboard can clock very well but its not easy compared to AMD Chips with unlocked Multi so your going to need to be prepared to get your handy dirty...

You need to watch

Ram Speed
North bridge Speed
HT Link Speed

Small steps is good and testing with Prime / OOCT
