i have a usb modem that has no ethernetic or whatever its called connection on it just the adsl cable from your phone line into the modem and then a usb cable to the computer and wondering what your guys thoughts is best for getting a router to connect two PC's to the internet and i think it would be best if i got new network cards too... so would you guys give me your opionions or router/net work cards for both PC's

Do you have a budget in mind? Who are your ISP and what speeds do your currently get? I normally recommend Linksys routers to people as I've own and have used many over the years without problems.

pipex.net 2mb and not got a budget really but dont want them too expensive just that i can get a reliably internet connection for both pc's

I don't know if you want need wireless but the Linksys WAG354G is a modem router, and wireless all in one job:

Should be fine for you. As for the cards when it comes to ethernet it really doesn't matter just get some from a decent manufacturer. If you need wireless always try to but your cards from the same manufacturer for optimal compatibility.

so i dont need to connect my current adsl modem to that? and what would i connect to my network cards for the internet to connect to the PC?

Everything would connect to the Linksys including the PC's. You can connect the PC's via ethernet cables using your current network cards or replace them with wireless cards should not want cables lying around.

what is a better more stable connection? wireless or the wires as i dont bother about the mess and i dont have network cards i think unless i have on my motherboards so shoud i get linksys network cards ye?

In simple terms wired will be better and faster connection, wireless is neater with decent speeds.

If you're not bothered about the wires then stick with the network cards will make setting it all up easier.

i have this on my main pc motherboard Dual Lan (LAN + GigaBit LAN) but i dont have any network on other pc

but is this ok for other PC as a network card or best to get both that network card...

Belkin F5D5005EA Gigabit PCI Network Card (NW-030-BE)

and this router ok too ?

Linksys WAG354G-UK 4-Port Wireless-G Broadband Modem Router (NW-044-LS)

Yep, buying the belkin network card and the linksys router will solve your problem, there is no need to buy another network card for the pc with dual lan built in the motherboard.

ok ta and these wires are ok for connecting to the compter network cards

Belkin Cat5e Network Patch Cable 5m - Grey (CB-003-BE)
