Noob building a Tower

I'm looking to buy parts for a budget gaming rig and a friend of mine who knows his stuff is going to put it together.

Hes too busy playing CS all day to help me pick parts and i don't know No Swearing!.

CPU: AMD Phenom II 955 Black Edition

Motherboard: MSI 770-C45

Or a Zotac GTX260 if i can find 1

Is that all going to work together.

Any suggestions on parts. I'm open when it comes to the graphics card

I wana max out stuff like dragon age. Crysis without AA on high at a mid res would be nice too

what resolution will u be using?

worked it out. My total is about £450. 500 was my budget

whatever i can get away with that gives me tolerable FPS. I'm coming from consoles so im not looking for the ultimate. i guess 1280 x 1024? is that achievable in crysis.
i looked at test with aa x2 for the sapphire and it was putting out 25 fps at that res

pretty much just gaming. maybe a bit of recording so i might swap the motherboard for something with a firewire

whats the deal with that ram? it seems pretty cheap. something wrong with it?

hmmm well i can't make you a spec as i'm at work but first of all i'd suggest you edit them links out as OcUK have a no competitor rule going on. I think you're going to struggle getting a quad and 5770 in there. Might do if you shop around but it's still going to be tight if you need a case, PSU, Disc Drive, HDD etc. Maybe drop down to a tri-core? they're pretty good, my brother has one and has no complaints.
