Noob cmd problem

My google fu skills are lacking. I've tried, but to no avail.


I'm in cmd, it's currently in a directory on my 'c' drive, but I want to navigate to my 'E' drive. Yet, typing in:

cd E:

Does nothing, it displays E:\ on the next line, but on the line after, it's still in the C directory.

Help? Thanks

EDIT: I've sorted it, just had to type E: on its own rather than cd E:
