Ok so bit of a noob question but at the moment I'm running a 5930K @ 4.50GHz game and bench stable alongside my 1080 Ti.

I've got an itch to change something in my system, Would it be silly of me to change the CPU out for something else or am I better off waiting for some big CPU changes to come along ?

Depend how much money you going to make from selling your machine.

No point what so ever in changing your cpu, keep what you have.

Maybe get a good mouse/keyboard/monitor etc

What do you use the pc for?

If it's stable, does what you need and then some, your money would be better saved until something actually worth upgrading to appears :)

I know the feeling of wanting to change, currently sat on my hands stopping myself from buying new tech after hitting a wall with my 6700k performance

Save your money on the CPU there are some rather nice super widescreen monitors ..........:p
