So when your nephew builds his first PC (I did point him towards using the PC case standoffs!) he is playing Fortnite but on Windows his fancy Logitech mouse wireless works fine with 800dpi

But in game is is pants - very slow, low sensitivity - we googled - used about 10% sensitivity - tinkered

Windows Game mode on

I have asked him to reinstall the mouse software - and the game - any Pro tips would be welcome - I have never played Fortnite so I know nothing - explain like I am 10.

I am setting 800dpi in the Logitech software on Desktop and I am trying to get x4 sensitivity to take that to 3200dpi in game.
So far it is fine on the desktop but dead slow in Fortnite.

It is the same with a Razor wired mouse.

I assumed it was a fault with the Logitech g pro superlight - but if the Razor is the same this suggests it is ok.

He has windows Gamemode on.

The NVIDEA game experience overlay - which I don't personally use - could it be a setting for this.

Any Pro pointers welcome.

Hi thanks for posting. I am grateful and I have an update.

The young master had downloaded malware! Looking on task manager his PC resources were running constantly - fans were going - he has a fancy pants illuminated water cooler was whirring away- he was asked not to open .exe files without checking they were legit - but decided to add lively wallpapers and some dodgy software downloads on a new build PC.

Removing this - and reinstalling the terrible Logitech software that came with his paperweight lightspeed mouse sorted it out.
