noob help. not all of the ram is recognised in XP

i have - OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series DDR2 (OCZ2G8004GK)

running in XP home edition in the OcUK IP35 Pro motherboard

at startup it recognises the Ram in dual channel mode (all 4GB) but in XP it only comes up as 3.25gb

any ideas guys. thanks

edit - @jak731 - i ended up gettin the system you more or less suggested in my other thread. thanks for the advice - built it this afternoon =-its running brilliantly!
