Noob, help required pls...

Want to share folders between my laptop and desktop. When i find my desktop pc in network on my laptop and click on it. It asks for a username and password. I have never set one up to my knowledge.

Running Vista on both machines and its running on my wireless network.

Any ideas?

Try entering the username and password for the machine you want to connect to.

But i dont have one, it just boots up to vista.

Turn off password protected file sharing in the network and sharing control center, accessable via control panel.
