Noob here, setting up a Draytek Vigor 2820 that has been factory reset.

Which ISP?

Settings might look something like

• Encapsulation: PPPoA (PPP over ATM)
• Encapsulating type: VC MUX
• Modulation: AUTO
• VPI/VCI: 0/38
• Authentication type: CHAP

You'll need the username and password. Others settings can probably be left blank.

You've checked that the wireless on the laptop is still switched on? I've found it to be quite a common issue since they started adding physical switches and hot keys.

Also check it's not trying to connect other local wireless networks.

Got a Acer lappy, when I set up wireless, I got most of my neighbours wifi stations showing up as well as mine..

Is wireless network enable in Draytek menu?

And is set Channel to AUTO & mode to MIXED 11g+11b+11n.
