Hello,

as I mentioned in the title when it comes to hardware I am nothing but a huge noob and therefore I have to ask somebody else..well, you!
I'm looking for a monitor that could be a good (all right at least) choice for a gamer and at the same time, wouldn't cost me a fortune.
Having had a quick glance at a nearby shop I managed to shortlist those for monitors and I now submit them to your wise judgement

SAMSUNG SM711MP 17" TFT FLAT PANEL MONITOR
PHILIPS 170B6 17" TFT MONITOR
LG L1718S 17" LCD ANALOGUE MONITOR
COMPAQ FP1706 17" LCD MONITOR

Which one!

Break from the mould! You can pick up 19" Widescreens for as little as £130 on OCUK. If you did go for a 19" widescreen I would recommend the Hyundai ImageQuest N91W 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black (MO-049-HY) for £164.49.

How noob am i!!
I didn't know you could buy hardware on the OC forum...and look at the prices!!
So then, what would you strongly reccomend for a game with a 150 (roughly) budget?

What are the main details i should look when buying a monitor for gaming purposes?
