I've recently been getting BSOD after a while of playing various games such as Arma 2 and Iracing. Im not a technically clued up person when it comes to PCs as im mainly a mac user and only use my PC for gaming.
I recently reinstalled Windows 7 (64 bit) to try and get around the blue screens but im still getting them, usually after an hour or two of gaming. It doesn't always blue screen though, sometimes its fine.
Ive downloaded and installed a blue screen viewer and this is what it says is causing it:
I've installed the latest drivers and catalyst control centre but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I've used drivesweeper in safe mode to wipe the ATI drivers and then reinstalled them, didn't solve it.
Maybe the graphics card is overheating ? sadly im not technically clued up enough to know how to check if its overheating. Just before it blue screens the screen kinda flashes up for about half a second with what id describe as an untuned tv set (only instead of black and white its got colour as well)
Any help in diagnosing the problem would really be appreciated.
My specs are as follows
Windows 7 64 Bit
AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 3.2ghz (Overclocked to 3.8ghz)
Gigabyte MA79OXT-UD4P
XFX ATI Radeon 48901gb Graphics Card
Corsair XMS3 DHX 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 Ram
OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Modular Power Supply
