Heyas. First my system specs.

e6400 /w artic freezer cooler 7
965p-d3s revision 2 motherboard
8800gts
2gb adata pc 6400 in dual channel
500w seasonic ps
seagate 80gb sata drive

I installed TAT last night after having the machine up a few days before clocking anything. My stock temps were 35c idle and pushing 50c under orthos load. Today I took it to 376x8 in the bios to get 3 ghz. My idle temps are now 44c and a 4 hour orthos test pushed it to 59c at its peak but stable. I know 4 hours is not enough, I plan on letting it run through the night tonight.

My question is, how far can I push the chip...heat wise before there will be trouble? 60c? 65c?

Also, is 44c to hot for idle?

Much thanks.

59C is reaching the peak that you'd want it to run at maxed out but they are rated well up to around 80C.

I think you very safe for some more FSB on there. Stop if it starts getting close to 70C though. You should be able to reach atleast 400x8 which will give you a nice 3.2Ghz.

Yes I have the artic cooler maxed and just went up to 400x8 with just about the same temps. This makes me so happy, what a bang for the buck chip. I will post back if it passes orthos tonight. I dun know how to post screens though, so unless I get some advice on that I probably wont post it.

I just tested 3d mark06 with a cranked up gts 920/630 and hit 10216 which is about 2k higher than stock. I am using the demo version so cant adjust any of the resolutions...any idea what that runs at?
