alright guys! at the moment im running a c2d 6750 and 2 gb of ozc platinum rev2 6500 at 4-4-4-15. on a abit p35-e mb

im looking to start overclocking this setup but im not sure where to start. ive read the begineers guide and am still a little confused. will it just be a case of increasing the fsb by small increments and testing or will i need to mess with the ram timings?

everythings at stock at the moment, retail hsf on the 6750 but i have a couple of case fans in my case. cheers!

that's about right, fsb first, then you can start to meddle with ram. you'll eventually want to get off auto volts for vCore, but see how far you can get. I'd recommend 10Mhz increments, but you can go with an initially larger jump if you feel confident. run prime95 for 10 mins or so between boosts. Then run it overnight when you feel you've hit either your target or a significant milestone. don't forget to leave uGuru or everest or something monitoring temps while you test.

best of luck mate :).
