Noob question about case fan

Hi,

I've recently just built my first pc in a very long time and was after a little bit advice as I can't seem to work it out, but probably missed something obvious.
I've got a Cosair 250D case and currently it's Sys fan is connected up to my CoolerMaster Nepton 240mm via a splitter. And the CPU block is connected to the CPU fan.

So I bought a Bitfenix Alchemy 5V 3pin connector. Now I've got the wire for the psu that has the molex connector and some sort of 4pin adaptor. I've connected the 3pin from the cosair fan on the front to one of the 3pins. The molex to molex and the connector to the psu. But the fan is not spinning...

Unless I've done something wrong I think maybe 5v might not be enough power to run the 140mm fan at the front. (Or maybe it's 120mm I forget). Or possibly the wrong molex wire from the psu pack?

Thanks for the help with the noob question.

Give the fan blades a small nudge in the correct direction. If it continues spinning the 5v is too low to start the fan. If it stops spinning after a while you've either got no power going to it or it's stall speed is 5v. I've had some fans work down to 1.5v and others stall at 8v.

Will give it ago. Thanks.

Turns out their operating voltage is 7V-12V. Unfortunately I've opened the pack so I'll have to buy a different one lol.
