Noob question about dealing with scratched paintwork.

I was coming out of my local supermarket the other day and turned the corner and some overgrown bushes scraped against my car (14 reg Octavia estate) and surprisingly were able to scratch the paintwork permanently. I've not been driving that long so haven't a clue how to repair this sort of thing.

Is there a go to product that people use that's relatively easy for a novice to get right?

It's hard to tell. Here are some pictures:

I've tried waxing one small panel using Simoniz to see if I could get them out, but not had any luck. This is the waxed section:

And this bush is the culprit!

Like I say, never had to get rid of any scratches before so any advice is appreciated.

Thanks Kindai and Bug, I might take (one of you) up on that. I think I might get in touch with the council first though (it's their land) and see if they will pay for a professional repair job.

I'm not sure anyone will pay out for you driving into a hedge unfortunately.

I'm doubtful it will go anywhere, but it's an obstruction in the road after a bend, on a dual carriageway. Realistically I had 2 options: hit the hedge or hit the car in the next lane.
