noob question about FAT32 and NTFS?????

ok, i got a 40G lappy drive and need to format the drive to FAT32 for my xbox360 to see it. I have a 20Gand that was easy to format by just right clicking/properties. I have read you can only format FAT32 to 36G and under?
Is there any software out there that will format me a 40G to FAT32 in a usb caddy??

From Microsoft's knowledge base it is a 32gb limit that is inherant because of the Fat system itself. However it would appear that you can get around this with a tool called Free FDisk amongst probably others such as Partion Magic, please bear in mind that I haven't tried this so I make no guarantees about it working.

I've used 120gb and 80gb drives with Win98 before, and not had a problem. :confused:

You need to enable large disk support in CMD
