Noob question regarding MSI Z77 Mpower

Hi guys, bit of a noob question for you;

I have flashed the bios of my Z77 Mpower to the latest release, then i went about overclocking and changing various settings, now i want to reset the setting to default, i cant find an option in the menus to simply click and load them back up.

Do i have to take the cmos battery out? and if i do, will i have to re-flash tbe bios or does it remember the latset version?

Also while im at, there is an extra pci-e power slot down by the 24 pin slot, i cant find my manual or one person online who can clearly explain the purpose/benefit of having this plugged in. Can one of you guys enlighten me please.

It has a "clear CMOS" button doesn't it?

Try pressing it. It will reset the current bios version to default (won't roll back to old bios install)

On the IO panel according to the pic near the bottom of the page

Extra power input is in case of serious (extreme) overclocking - in case the board needs more juice to fire the CPU.

And by "extreme" overclocking, whats that in 2600k terms? Anything north of 4.5Ghz?
