Noob question: WEP for a wireless access point using XP

Tried googling, not found much so If someone could spare the time to answer my question that would be great!

Have a pc with internet connection. Have a wireless network using usb access points, no router. The network works fine but I cannot enable encryption. Any ideas how I'd add encryption to the network?

Encryption has to be enabled on both ends, therefore both ends must support ADHOC connection and the same encryption types.

Model numbers might help. You said USB access points, i think you probably mean USB adapters as adapters are not the same as access points. Access points are another name for Wireless bridges, which is what the PC with the internet and the wireless adapter will become once ICS is configured.
