well around 2 years ago i built a pc using ddr memory and i recall that not all memory was compatable with all motherboards.

now ddr2 has come along and im a bit clueless, had a quick look at the faqs but didnt see anything on compatability.

am i right in thinking that all ddr2 motherboards are compatable with all ddr2 memory?

cheers :D

There are some boards that have very few or even zero OCing options. This is important if you buy memory that requires more than JEDEC spec 1.8v Vdimm for DDR2. Just be sure to check on the board makers spex or check with the memory maker to see that they verify that the memory you want is compatible.
