Another noob question....

Can i boot Win7 from a FLash drive?

I'm going to get new pc system and wish to get the Win7 RC...

Will it let me write on a DVD?
Even better on a USB drive?

My laptops DVD writer doesnt want to write DVD's but CD's it does...That's why i want to ask if i can boot from USB drive

Yes, you can install it from a flash drive. It is not easier.

A better approach is to get a dvd writer with the new system and burn the dvd using that. Put any other operating system on it to do so, Id use ubuntu. XP would do as well. Install this, use it to make the windows 7 dvd, then install windows 7.

So basically i have XP sp2 and i dont want to buy vista...

So i install Xp then burn win 7 on DVD and install?

Why does it make the installation harder on the USB?

About my DVD drive on laptop...CAn the problem be the drivers? should i reinstall drivers? It writes CD's but not DVD's....
