I am looking to buy a new large IPS monitor. I don’t know whether to go for a 27” 2560 x 1440 or a 27” 1920 x 1080.
1) If you buy a 27” monitor with a 2560 x 1440 resolution can you lower the resolution when you need to or is the resolution fixed? I play games and I have a single 580 GTX. If I had a 27" 2560 x 1440 monitor and I was playing a game that was running slowly due to the resolution would I simply be able to lower the resoution on the monitor?
2) If you do lower the resolution on a 27” 2560 x 1440 monitor to 1920 x 1080 would it still look ok? I am aware there is a corolation between monitor size and resolution size.
3) Would you say a 27" monitor is too big for a 1920 x 1080 resolution?
