If I am running dual screens (cloned, both screens displaying same thing), would this increase GPU usage/temperature compared to just running one screen?

On my setup, if I enable extended desktop to 2 screens my card temp rises by around 4 -5° so yes it will increase usage.

The op is asking whethere duplicate will increase temps, which I know for a fact don't (certainly with amd 79 series), as the voltage and clocks remain the same as with a single screen.

Extended does increase temps due to the memory clocks increasing to full 3d clocks with the core increasing (in my case from 300mhz - 500mhz) with the voltage increasing from 0.85V to 1.112V to support the increased clocks, thus increased temperatures.

Hmmm that is odd. Are both your monitors displaying the same res at the same frequency?

Mines are both 1920x1080 @60hz. Screen 1 is connected via DVI with screen 2 connected via HDMI.

Seems it MAY increase your temps op, although I can assure you in my case it doesn't and retains 2d idle clocks with duplicate. Will post screenies tomorrow as not at home just now and posting from phone.
