Noob Sandy Bridge question

I'm also in the noob category checking up on the latest tech, but from what I've been reading there isn't much in it between a clocked 2500k and a clocked 2600k....

Happy to be corrected though! :/

I'm still running an e6400 setup lol, so really tempted to upgrade
