Noob watercooled build..

Annoyed that again I didn't engage brain before ordering.
Measured a 120.3 rad and decided it wouldn't fit so went ahead and ordered the 120.2, however if I was awake I would have realised I could have put the raptors in the 5.25 bays with an adaptor and had the whole lower floor free for radiators. :D, never mind, ordered now.

Naa, done it now. I'll not be using it for any other part of the system, I'm sure it's enough.
The single rad can "almost" keep up at 3.5Mhz.
I think with the nozzle as Azza says it's not a gimmick, and the twinrad, twin fan set up, it'll cope really well.

I could always loop through both radiators ;)

Anyway, back to work tomorrow, so I'm off to bed. :(

I'm a bit obsessed yes ;)

I'll always pimp watercooling, the higher spec the better :D

That's nothing. I know a guy who has piped (as in copper plumbing ) his computer up to the header tank in his loft. No fans and I suppose his cooling depends a lot on how often the water is replaced in his header tank.

In saying that, if it's getting warm, just go flush the loo or have a shower :p

D-Tek FuZion Accelerator Nozzle Kit (probably a gimmick but worth a go)

Is it this one?

Because there's a special quad-core nozzle insert for version 2 of the Fuzion -

The Quad Core Insert replaces the default FuZion v2 insert to provide more optimized directed cooling for the Intel® split quad core processors.

The Quad Core Insert provides a more optimized flow pattern than the current Quad Split Nozzle provided in the Nozzle Kit.

•The Quad Core Insert works with the FuZion v2 only

That's the one

Contains a split nozzle for quad cores.
If OC sold the "optimised" one, I would have had that instead... but they don't :D

Anyway....
Tonights task, redo the TIM with the "line across the middle" technique and see if I can better my current "average core temps"

Might need to find some Acetone, the nail varnish remover I have got here contains "conditioner"

you could just do like normal people and clean it off with a bit of kitchen roll and be done with it?

I think you can take this TIM thing a bit too far quite easily :)

well I've been cleaning it off with this bottle of "cutex" since about 1998 :D

Just wanted to "go the whole hog" this time round.

Hmmmmmmm

A slightly backwards step in the build process, wouldn't you agree! :o

Got some holes to drill ;)

Ahem,
Add this to the growing list of things about to arrive. :o

Your order consisted of the following items:
Scythe Kaze-Master 5.25" Fan Controller - Black :D

Nice one nokin.

You know what you should do... powdercaot that baby. :)
