I'm thinking about watercooling my ASUS gtx690 and after browsing this forum and doing a few google searches, I'm well and truly confused lol.

I understand what I need, but I'm confused about which specific components will be best for me? Radiator size, pump rating etc etc.

I quite like the look of this pump/reservoir combo

Will that provide sufficient flow to cool a clocked 690? Also, what size rad do I need to pair it with? I'm guessing it'll need something like this?

Sorry for all the questions, I just want to get this right first time round lol.

Not sure on the rad, heard those 690's can get pretty hot especially when clocked.

Me, i'd give it a go with that rad, it'll certainly be better than just being air cooled as it is.

Personally I'd be looking at an XTX240/RX240/AX240 as a minimum, I know they are cool running chips but I think everyone would like to stay well under that magic 70c mark :)

@OP what case do you have? If you have the room personally I'd sell off the H100 and use the money to buy a CPU block and include it in your loop plans.

I've a Corsair 400r. I'd thought about running everything from one system, but as I'm considering another 690 (if/when I can afford it ) I thought it may be best to keep the CPU and GPU system separate?

Are you prepared to mod?

The 4/500r is a bit of a nightmare for water tbh. Adding another 690 you either need a new case or to go external with the radiator.

I don't mind modding to fit a rad. I have tubing entries on the back of the case.

The other thing I'd considered (for the time being) was one thick 140 mm rad - Would that do a single 690?

To be honest, going by the advice on this thread, the ideal thing to do would be buy a bigger case and cool everything from a single system. I wish I'd taken all this into account before buying the case I have lol

Yep, £1800 worth of GPU's, £60 case...

A single 140mm radiator will not efficiently cool a single 690.

Desperate to keep the 400R? Go have a look at a Phobya Nova 1080 radiator, run it externally as I did with a 500R.

In that case (no pun intended) what model case would you guys recommend? I prefer cases with a subtle exterior - no lights/windows etc, just smooth clean lines.
