Noob with overclocking CPU

Please bear with me. I don't expect to be spoonfed, just nudged in the right direction.

I've gone into my Bios and raised my FSB to 1100. Is this the right way to OC your CPU? I also have my mem running at 800. Can I raise that as well?

I haven't changed anything else, just raised the FSB to 1100. Do I need to do anything else apart from raising the FSB?

Nevermind then, got it up to 3.1Ghz and everything feels stable. I'll stick to that and not tempt the Gods.

raise the fsb until it becomes unstable, then raise the vcore - keep going until temps become a problem.

what benchmark are you using to test stability and for how long?

with the p5n-e, you can oc the ram independent to the fsb. So you can set your ram to run as high as possible in the same way as you would with fsb (keep increasing clock whilst testing, then adding more vdimm when needed).

With Super PI but the 32M option. Really takes a while and seems to give the CPU quite a workout. Everything seems stable and temp seems to hover around 36-38C on full load. Measured with speed fan
