Noobie question - might be in wrong place!

I didn't know where to shove this so thoguht i would put it here, i just bought a 5850 and windows 7 from overclockers.

I have XP installed that my dad put on, but i think it's a "fake" it says at the bottom of the screen "you may be a victim of software counterfitting" (hence why i bought windows 7..)

Now my question is how can i install windwos 7? DO i have to uninstall XP? (if so how?) or can i just put the CD in and it will install windows 7?

If it is the latter will the fact my windwos xp is "fake" mean i cannot install windwos 7?

just put the disc in and boot from it, when it asks you where to install the os it gives the option to format the drive, format it to get rid of xp and then continue with the install.
 
pooley is right, but you will lose all of your data in this process, so make sure all your own personal files and work is backed up prior to doing it.
Also if you have games or saved games make sure you have backed these up also.

Oh, ok thanks a lot, well i've got nothing on there because i've only just installed XP!

I ordered on saturday at 14:00 do you think it will come today (waitingg for the parcel)

OR tomorrow/
