Noobie Question! Ram needed?

Hi guys,

Quick noobie question.

I am looking at getting the following MB :

Asus Crosshair III Formula AMD 790FX

Question is, what ram should I get and how much?

I am currently looking at the following :

Corsair Dominator 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 (1600MHz)

Overkill???

Also does that mean I MUST overclock for it to work based on the 1600OC requirement?
